That about sums up my feelings.
Granted, travel was crazy this weekend, but every team has to deal with that and few respond to it with a total meltdown. I expect something to happen this week. Waivers, trades...whatever it takes.

I seriously doubt it. Even Greg Rajan asked rich last nigh: "well, so are you guys gonna make some trades anytime soon before the deadline?" Rich response was that Brooks has been on the phone trying but that "there's just nothing out there". Where's everyone else getting their players from, I wonder? I think there is way too much f...g tolerance for pi$$ poor performance. And why should they even care? Attendance is still pretty strong. Either that or Brooks ran out college recruits to bring down here.

| You guys have one weird team down there.One night they impress the next the are really bad. There seems to be no middle ground. I think Greg uses the best word to describe this team at times - disinterested. I think the blame for that falls more on the players than the coach. And the disinterest squarely rests on the defensive side of the ice. Another word you could use is lazy.Not trashing your team here as most of you know I like Rio and the Bees organization. Bag skate anyone? |

That's exactly what has the fans scratching our heads...one night they play like a team should getting our hopes sky high and next night they play like you-know-what and fall apart before they even get started! Disinterested, lazy? Sure seems like it, doesn't it? Yet you talk to the players and they know what is wrong because it's exactly what one is thinking. Why isn't it corrected then? Defense is one of the major problems, not all, but majority. Weird team? That's the understatement of yet another season! Generally speaking of the entire season so far.

You are implying here that it is not that the players are lazy or disinterested but that something else is going on. What I'm thinking is that there is a player(s) that is bringing everyone else down, morale-wise? So how far off am I?
As far as nothing being "out there," that may be true to a certain extent, but if indeed there is a player causing trouble, my feeling is that you waive/trade that one and fill his place with a body . . . anybody! There are certainly players out there who have been waived, "retired" or whatever that might want to fill the space. If it gets rid of a problem, even an "average" player will be an improvement.
Again, I know that this team has the talent to win, but something is holding them back. It's time to identify the problem, fix it and move on.[/quote]

[/quote] What they are thinking is that mistakes are being made on the ice and need to stop making those same mistakes in games. In my opinion, they better step it up, time is their enemy and need to correct those mistakes, FAST! I don't believe for one minute it's just mistakes being made either. Spring cleaning couldn't hurt. The cleaning should of started back in early Dec. if not earlier if stats don't lie. I am a firm believer with the performance shown on the ice in real time and not to rely just on past stats. If one doesn't even hint being near those stats he collected by this time in the season it's time to clean with disinfectant!
