This might be a bit dumb, but I'm still wondering where did everybody go? There are obviously people viewing this forum. So, let's do this for $hits and giggles, shall we? _________________ SPEAK SOFTLY, BUT CARRY A BIG STICK! |

Struggling? I wouldn't quite put it that way but the way they just fall apart after a well played game just make one wonder whether there might be some internal or locker room issues. They may have some poison pill that's disrupting their chemistry. _________________ SPEAK SOFTLY, BUT CARRY A BIG STICK! |

This is exactly what I've been thinking. This is a team that seemingly improved over last season, but it hasn't translated on-ice. OBVIOUSLY, there is something behind the scenes going on that we have no idea about.
This reminds me of the Season 5 team, though not quite as bad; they were a talented team on paper, but couldn't get it together because of internal struggles. I pray (OK, maybe not pray since God probably doesn't care much about sports!) that for the next 25+ games, the Bees can find what it takes to turn it on EVERY NIGHT!
Speaking of the Year 5 team . . . does anyone know what ever happened with that documentary they were supposed to be filming? _________________ Blog: puddinman.wordpress.com |

I'd say NO! We should have taken advantage by securing a playoff spot when it was a 2 horse race (Laredo/RGV). Now we've got Corpus and Amarillo in the mix. Corpus continues to improve, Amarillo is playing well, while Laredo had an outstanding outing over the weeked. The hill that we had to climb has become a mountain. _________________ SPEAK SOFTLY, BUT CARRY A BIG STICK! |

Don't you hate blown opportunities? Each team carries their fate on their shoulders and it's up to the coach and the players to bring success.
KILRBEES, I feel your pain, but it seems that most (except for you, puddin, BeeLady, Viper, Beebuzz, bobcat and myself) care to post anything positive or negative about this year's Bees. Maybe they are content to read the CHLforums and they leave it at that.
This is what it sounds like here..............

That's too funny Mo. It's exactly right though. Perhaps is like Puddinman said. There were only about 14-15 regular posters and now we're down to 5 or 6. Maybee we should talk about politics, religion or sex to liven up this forum. How about Tiger Woods getting help in that clinic for his problem. Poor sap, I hope his wife realizes he was a victim of addiction and takes him back. _________________ SPEAK SOFTLY, BUT CARRY A BIG STICK! |

If current trends continue, the Bees are a long shot at best. If they can somehow find a way to turn the tide and win more consistently, then we should be in. Remember that we have a game in hand vs. Corpus and 5 games-in-hand vs. Amarillo. We are by no means out of it, but the guys have to change their attitude.
Hey Bees:
The season starts tomorrow night. Forget everything else that happened this year; it's irrelevant. You've got 26 games to show how great this team actually is. Win or lose, we Bees fans expect you to bring your A game every night. If you can't commit that much then go home now before you let the team and the fans down. We don't care about your differences with each other or the drama that goes on in the dressing room or whatever else is causing your slumps; when you hit the ice from now on, you'd better be united in the effort to win.
You've had a chance to travel the CHL a little bit and you have to realize by now that here in the RGV you've got pretty damn good fan support. When you go to Laredo, CC, Odessa, Amarillo, etc, you can see first hand that the RGV is one of the premier hockey markets in the league as far as fan support goes. We turn out for you in big numbers almost every game and all we want in return is 100% effort 100% of the time. If you can provide that, I can promise you that Bees fans will continue to support you win or lose. So let's do it Bees! Dig down and find the motivation to make a big run for the playoffs! _________________ Blog: puddinman.wordpress.com |

Hey Mo, what's this:
Laredo 01/25/10 Cullaton, Brent (F) placed on team suspension
I know he's not on team suspension. Is Roscoe just making sure he does not end up on another team? _________________ SPEAK SOFTLY, BUT CARRY A BIG STICK! |

Cullaton on suspension? Call it what you want. He will be back after he is done coaching his Jr.League hockey team in Colorado. Just a ploy by Roscoe.
I guess he is in playing shape as he scored 2 goals and 1 assist in the 3 games against Colorado and Rapid City. |

As I said before, these players are professionals, getting paid so, they better 'check' their attitudes/egos before they sign on the dotted line to play as a team player. This is NOT a soap opera to cry over this and that or if some other player looks at him cross-eyed! Act like professionals and leave the playground theatrics at home. IF, that is the true problem. _________________ common sense... it's a terrible thing to waste |

Hmmm...I think my tolerance for inconsistent play and attitude issues was used up two seasons ago. I love it when the team wins, but in reality, that won't always happen. What I do expect for my money is consistent effort and a positive, team focused attitude.
The inconsistency and lack of effort seen on this team way too often this year makes me not really care either. At this point, given the horrific year we had a couple of seasons ago with all the locker room problems, if there are similar issues causing the problems, I think the coach needs to clean them up now (either thru discipline of the players, trading them to another team or suspension), before they alienate the fan base.
I am sick and tired of seeing certain players sitting on their butts watching the game on the bench, changing lines slowly, standing around on the ice waiting for the play to come to them and making sloppy turn overs instead of controlling the puck - what a waste of talent. There are certain players who put forth 100% effort, and there are others that I cringe every time I see them take the ice.
I don't know if I speak for others, but that is pretty much where we are this year ~ why keep saying the same things~either the team is going to address the problems or they won't. We'll speak with our purchase (or lack there of) of season tickets, food & drinks at the concession stands and support of the advertisers for the team, dependent on the response from the organization as a whole in addressing these issues. So far, as much as I like many of the individuals, I am not overly impressed with the product they put on the ice on a regular basis. Losing is not the issue ~ lack of effort and attitude is... |

There really haven't been any rumors to that effect that I know of, just us fans speculating as to what might be causing the inconsistent play. SOMETHING is happening and if it isn't locker room problems then they need to figure out what it is. _________________ Blog: puddinman.wordpress.com |
